The Feast of St Michael is back on Sunday September 27, 2020!

The feast of Saint Michael dates from the Middle Ages. This secular feast embodied the expiration of rural leases, hence the expression "on St. Michael's Day everyone is moving."
To preserve the symbolism of this heritage festival, a garage sale is associated with a craft market on the two squares of Grimaud. This day will also be punctuated by many activities.

In 2020, the Fête de la St-Michel will go back a century, and offer you a trip back to the past with a demonstration of old trades!

Costumed demonstrators display period tools and instruments. You will (re) discover more than thirty trades of yesteryear, including the trades of blacksmiths, washerwomen and ironers, rewinders, vineyard and agricultural trades, fishnet remitter and trap manufacture, merchants of skins of rabbits, milkmaids, carders and quilters, stitchers, cord braiders, glaziers, cobblers, barbers, wigmakers, schoolmistresses, nurses, langeuses, knitters, bonnetières, patchers or pedassiers, seamstresses, lace-makers, tatters, boutis, ruche, tapestry, vendors of cade, coffee with socks, organ builders, street singers, photos and music of yesteryear, town crier, postmen and a presentation of steam engines ...

Everyone can review the tool their grandfather used or show their grandchildren how we used to live!

And as always at St-Michel, we will offer you a large 100% artisanal market, with nearly 30 exhibitors, and the only garage sale of the year in the streets of the village!

Wooden games, wanderings of artists, mass and religious procession, presence of the folk group L'Escandihado, catering area, exchange of seeds and plants and a presentation of old tools by "The garden to share in Grimaud" or more musical entertainment will complete the already rich program of this day!
