It is with emotion that France woke up this morning to learn of the death of Valèrie Giscard d´Estaing.
Third President of the Fifth Republic, he left an important political legacy and structural and societal reforms that transformed France.
The flags of the town are half mast to pay tribute to him. His portrait is still displayed in the municipal council chamber.
