In France, a significant part of the rural population lives in wine-growing regions. Are these people particularly exposed to products used for plant protection treatments and, if so, how? To answer these questions, Public Health France and ANSES are today launching PestiRiv, the first large-scale study aimed at better understanding and understanding the exposure to pesticides of people living near wine crops. The measurements carried out on 3,350 people in 6 French regions will make it possible to objectively identify the sources that contribute the most to exposure to pesticides and to adapt prevention measures.
