The spring reopening of the Maison des Arcades showroom will welcome the painter MiVaGo.
From March 11 to April 30, 2022, Michèle Van Goethem, known as MiVaGo, will accompany the "wedding season" with her "Wedding Day" series.
MiVaGo takes an offbeat look here, sometimes tender, sometimes incisive, on this social ritual and its protagonists. Doubt, confidence, bitterness, jealousy or benevolence, so many contrary feelings that can be detected in the looks and attitudes of the actors of the wedding. MiVaGo's painting, deliberately expressionist, intends to transpose these contradictory emotions.

What is also important for Michèle Van Goethem is the communication that is established between her characters and the "watcher", you, the public - and the way in which this work on the feelings embodied, on the atmosphere that emerges from their representation, ultimately leads to emotional connection.

Open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
