The origin of this festival is lost in past centuries. Initially, religious since based on the celebrations of August 15 dedicated to the Virgin, it is also the village festival, marked, in the Middle Ages, by a large agricultural fair in the park of the Chapelle Notre Dame de la Queste. Breeders and merchants came from all over the Gulf to sell and buy many goods and livestock.
