In the event of heavy rain or flash flooding, let's have the right reflexes: they can save our lives. Indeed, in just a few hours, it can fall the equivalent of several months of precipitation.

Report all your trips, on foot or by car;
Do not collect your children from school or nursery, they are safe there;
Stay or go inside a building and climb higher when possible;
If possible, cut off the gas, electricity and heating networks without putting yourself in danger;
Don't use your car, it's not a safe space. A few centimeters of water can be enough to prevail;
Do not go down into basements or underground parking lots;
Stay away from waterways, banks and bridges. To avoid lightning, do not take refuge under a tree;
Stay informed and listen to the instructions of the emergency services and/or the town hall;
Be concerned about vulnerable and isolated people and contact them by favoring SMS.

From today, and in anticipation of any emergency that could arise during the intense rainy season, prepare a 72-hour emergency kit to be able to live independently for a few days: food and drinking water, medicines, battery-operated radio, candles, copy of identity card...
