From October 28 to December 30, 2022, the house of the arcades welcomes two artists for an exhibition of ceramics and photography.

The opening will be held on Friday October 28, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. in the exhibition hall in the presence of the artists.

Christiane AINSLEY, based in Barjols in the Var since 2001, runs in parallel with her practice of ceramics and painting, the Artmandat center, a place of residence and exhibitions dedicated to contemporary art and exchanges between artists. She has an approach of her own characterized by borrowing from the great themes of the history of painting. She continues her research on the qualities of color, in relation to the density of the material and the trace of the gesture. And it was in 2013 that she devoted herself to ceramics, for the first time. The result is his production of vases of flowers, among the most inspiring for a contemporary vision of the floral bouquet.

The photographic work of Thierry AZAM comes in series generating each other: landscapes, trees, still lifes, crucifixions...
This work began in 2008 during frequent automobile and rail travel in Europe and around the Mediterranean basin. These photos, where dreamlike nostalgia and worried wonder mingle, are taken, most of the time, with a digital camera. They gave birth to the artist's books "L'enneigement" (with Anne-France Frère and Lionel Bourg), "Toi mon aède" (with Anne-France Frère and Edith
Azam) and "Letter from the traveler on his return" (with Alain Michon).
