Existing for several centuries, the Wool Fair is a traditional festival taking place on Ascension Thursday. On the program for this bucolic day, a 100% artisanal farmer's market all around Place Neuve: colors, scents and flavors of the products of our 30 exhibitors will mingle for the greatest pleasure of all!
And to welcome our sheep, and all their friends, a giant 1,500m² farm, even bigger than last year, will be set up in the village, with 100 animals roaming free among our visitors.
Demonstrations of sheep shearing will also take place throughout the day...
On the spot, in the middle of the animals, the team of the Culture & Heritage service of the Town hall of Grimaud will present its exhibition on the history of the Wool Fair in our village: why this festival, since when, who took part in it... ?
To discover this famous wool, star of the day, workshops will be offered continuously, throughout the day, for young and old: introduction to weaving and felt work by the Ferme du Lambert, and workshop for creating wool pompoms by the Children's Center of the Town Hall of Grimaud...
Also find many wooden games and a treasure hunt to have fun with friends or family! Attend the traditional Provençal parade of the Escandihado, then the mass, and end your morning with an aperitif of honor, offered to all visitors. Finally, discover or rediscover our village by taking part in the guided tours organized throughout the day.
