Alain BENEDETTO, the Mayor and members of the Municipal Council invite you to discover the exhibition by Audrey CHEVALIER and Anna L'HOSPITAL.
Friday June 7, 2024 from 5:00 p.m.
Entitled Les Disparues, the in situ exhibition focuses on the castle as an essential player in the village and its history, today in ruins and without traces of its previous states. Audrey Chevalier and Anna L'Hospital address the question of the remains of the Château de Grimaud based on what remains: the town and the serpentine stone, the material from which it was built. Looted over the centuries, particularly after the French Revolution, this building was used to build the village thanks to its ornaments and stones. A real “human erosion” gradually brought the fortress to its current state of ruin.
